HoneyBee Garden Seed Kit
This kit comes with all the tools you need to get your own 'Honey Bee' garden growing. Each flower variety included in the kit has been selected for its ability to attract & provide food for all those hard-working honey bees out there. On top of that, they also look beautiful in the landscape, with showy blooms and long-lasting color. To get your garden started, the kit includes:
6 coco fiber pots
6 expanding soil pellets
6 seed tins
6 wood plant markers
planting instructions
Comes packaged in unbleached cotton bag with hemp drawstring, and hang tag attached.
Flower varieties include:
Siberian Wallflower (Cheiranthus allionii) - showy, fragrant orange flowers all summer long. Grows to 18"tall.
Bee Balm (Monarda species) - pale purplish-pink flowers sit atop 36" tall plants. Top notch pollinator plant! Loves the heat.
Sulphur Cosmos 'Bright Lights' - flowers come in shades of gold, red, orange, & yellow, and grows about 3-4 ft. tall.
Sunflower 'Lemon Queen' - lemon yellow blooms with a dark brown center, grows 5-7 ft. tall with huge blooms.
Blanketflower (Gaillardia aristata) - bi-colored deep red with yellow tips, with large center cone. Grows 18-24" tall.
Gloriosa Daisy (Rudbeckia hirta) - deep golden petal edges with dark bronze centers. Grows 16-24" tall.
All flower varieties included in the kit prefer full sun.
This kit makes it easy to get your own honey bee garden started - just add water to the soil pellet, wait until it expands, then add the seeds! Mark each pot with label provided, and you should have little sprouts in approximately 7 -30 days (depending on temp. and type of seed). This kit is designed for indoor use to get your seeds started. Once the seeds have sprouted and begin to grow, they will quickly outgrow their small fiber pots - at this time they will need to be transplanted outdoors either directly in the ground, or into a larger pot.
Extra seeds are provided in case of any mishaps, or if you want to grow additional plants for a 'fuller' honey bee garden.
